When Apple announced release details about their much hyped Watch, designers rejoiced. Not because the product pushes the marriage of technology and fashion, but because the Apple Watch has solidified the importance of great logo design in the branding process.
First, the logo has become the primary point of contact for all interactions. A user has to literally place their finger atop the logo to begin using the corresponding application, creating a unique relationship that a user wouldn’t have on the web and certainly not in print.
