Blending Creativity with a Superfood Snack
Revamping lackluster packaging to match the energy-packed superfood snack inside.
Case Study: The BOSS Food Company came to us with an awesome snack bar, packed with organic, gluten-free, Paleo-friendly, superfoods. The only problem? The packaging didn’t tell us any of that. BOSS needed to tell their story right there in the snack aisle, and that’s just what we set out to do with new packaging.
The process started with defining the characteristics of BOSS and its raw superfood bars. Each bar had a special recipe behind it, geared toward giving you to fuel you need to think, move, smile, and be the best you can be everyday. We wanted the packaging to convey the energy packed into each bar and celebrate the raw ingredients that make it possible. To do this, Silver Creative combined clean, photorealistic fruit and nut imagery with natural, holistic textures and approachable. We shifted the messaging to focus around the benefits of the bar and created a custom icon set to quickly communicate its soy-free, Paleo-friendly, gluten free, vegan properties. What we ended up with is a refined package design that still boasts the raw ingredients and healthy recipes inside.
